There are so many things to do and see at the Japanese Fest, there is something for everyone to enjoy! In addition to all the regular garden attractions, there will be tons of interesting demonstrations including bonsai, origami, martial arts, cooking, Ikebana (flower arranging), Sumo demonstrations   and more. There will be puppet shows, Japanese Storytelling, karaoke, Kimono Fashion Shows,    a children’s game area, Japanese dancing and too much more to list.  (Click here to view the full listing of events on the Missouri Botanical Garden website.) 

There will also be booths set up selling traditional Japanese crafts as well as food booths selling sushi, yakisoba noodles, green tea ice cream (yum!), crab Rangoon, kebabs, beer, and sake.

The event runs from September 4th and 5th (Saturday and Sunday) from 10 am to 8 pm each day and on Monday, September 6th (Labor Day) from 10 am to 5 pm.

General admission is $15, with discounts for children 12 and under, seniors, and Garden members.
