The Monet Water Lilies exhibit is now at the St. Louis Art Museum (through January 22, 2012)!
Inspired by his gardens at Giverny, Claude Monet painted about 250 oil paintings of water lilies. Three of his water lily works were painted as a triptych (a set of three). The exhibit at the St Louis Art Museum brings the three works together for the first time in more than 30 years and stretches 42 feet wide!
Monet’s Water Lilies exhibit includes eight paintings, including the Agapanthus triptych, Water Lilies, and Wisteria Numbers 1 and 2.
Admission to the Art Museum is free and tickets to the Monet featured exhibit are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $6 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. Admission to the special exhibit is free on Fridays. However, advanced tickets are selling out quickly and many days are already sold out. The exhibit runs through January 22, 2012 so if you want to see this exhibit, you need to act fast!
